The Dallas Mavericks have waived Dalano Banton, less than two weeks after he signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the team. If Banton clears waivers, he may continue his career in Texas, as his rights in the G League are held by the Texas Legends. Banton, a former second-round pick, showed promise with the Trail Blazers at the end of last season.

After previous stints with Toronto, Boston, and Portland, Banton is heading to Dallas where he will vie for a spot on the final roster. Known for his late-season performance with the Trail Blazers, where he posted average stats of 16 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists, Banton brings potential versatility to the Mavericks’ lineup.
